PhD in industrial organic chemistry awarded at the University of Florence, Italy, in 2004. From 2009 working in the field of vaccines, focusing his research on the development of vaccines for neglected diseases. Involved in the development of vaccines against Salmonella Typhi, Salmonella Paratyphi A, non-typhoidal Salmonella, Shigella, Group A Streptococcus and klebsiella pneumoniae. Analytical lab head at GVGH from 2009 to 2021, working on the characterization and stability of drug substances and drug products based on three main platforms: glycoconjugation, Generalised Modules for Membrane Antigens (GMMA) and recombinant protein. Six Sigma Green Belt certification obtained in 2018 and Black Belt in 2021.
From 2021, Vaccine Chemistry lab Head working on design and development of glycoconjugates, Multiple Antigen-Presenting Systems (MAPS) and Nanoparticle based vaccines.
Author of 30 scientific publications and two patent applications.
