Personal Information

Dr. Zhanshan (Sam) Ma is Professor and CAS-100-Talents endowed PI from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He leads the Computational Biology and Medical Ecology Lab in the CAS, with broad interests in computational genomics and metagenomics, human microbiome-associated diseases, and AI applications in biomedicine.

Prof. Ma holds double PhD degrees in Computer Science and Entomology, and he is currently a Bullard Fellow at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA., performing heterogeneity research for bridging the gap between AI innovations and biomedicine.
